Seems like the recession or the downturn is not affecting SG.
Why did i say that?
Because seems that the IT fair and the Travel fair which was held earlier seems to have quite a good response.
Jerome said that he wanted to go taiwan but the very next day the tickets to taiwan was all swept away.
Yes, i gotta admit that the tickets are very cheap but still going overseas u will need to spend on shopping, food and transport. Don't tell me that u are just going there for sight-seeing. haha...
And the IT fair is packed with people.
It still seems that everyone is still spending as per normal like no recession?

But at least with these people spending more means that they are also helping on the economy too.
Govt mentioned to spend as per normal.
but if people got no money, no job how do we spend as per normal? duh... *blur*
Maybe they shld adopt Taiwan style of giving people vouchers to encourage spending ba.. haha..

A little off track, today gonna meet TG4 for dinner after so many months not seeing them.
Ting's birthday coming, i'm gonna be so broke...
Pray hard my mom and brother strike lottery/4d so they can give me some extra income. LOL

How come friendships in the working society so hard to maintain?
Sometimes i wonder is it only at the working place then will be addressed by sisters, and if left the working place it means nothing? Not even a sms, email or mail, call nor msn?
How hard is it to maintain a friendship in this new age world?
Perhaps everyone has got their workload, burden and commitments but still how hard a sms would be? Not even to mention that it cost nothing at all to make a sms.
It always takes two hands to clap, to maintain a friendship.
What's the point of having one side to maintain it but nobody reciprocates the effort?

At least i'm glad that i still keep in touch with my clinque and some friends in sec sch. Poly friends i still did have some contacts with. Oh and my kindergarten friend too, Astee and JunLin. We do not meet up but we wished each other birthdays and festivals by snail mail.
And at least they will reciprocate the effort to maintain it.
But i know when everyone has their family, career this friendship might fade away.

I know i might not be perfect too in maintaining the friendship and might skip some gatherings and stuff but i still do cherish them.
I will make effort in meetups too.
I hope that my uni frens too will still keep meet up once a while after they graduate.

Sometimes i really think that my mom is a wonder woman.. perhaps super wonder woman.
I wish i can be like her at times.
She's strong, determined, nice and filial.
Despite the fact that she used to scold my dad everyday but she still did her best as a wife, taking care of my dad after his operation. From breakfast to eating pills to lunch to dinner and perhaps even washing of his hair, she just do it all alone by herself.
And also have to wake up in the middle of the night to see if dad is ok and whether he needs anything.
Furthermore she still has to take care of the young one (jaylen) and the 'medim' one (which is me).
She's been working hard these few days, i'd felt ashamed of myself.

During this period, i find that she's so admirable. Despite how worried and sad she is about my dad's operation, but she still stands strong to shelter us giving me strength.
Even though she suffered from ache everywhere but she kept to herself.
She lets me understands how much she sacrifice for the family.

Proud to say she's my one and only mom.
what have i deserved for such a good mum..
I love her... she's always the first one to help me catch those irritating roaches, insects..

p/s: i wonder how many past posts had i blog this "i love my mom"topic...
